We were busy bees this last weekend, so get ready for lots of pictures!
For the 8th year in a row we went to Meinig Park for the Easter Egg Hunt. This was the first year Kelsey was too old, and it was pretty sad. She handeled it like a trooper and later that day she went to a fun Easter party at a friends, but next year we may have to break with tradition and go somewhere she can participate.
Sydney was her usual freakishly attached self but she managed to do a little hunting. Both girls ate so much candy Saturday and Sunday than they'd eaten their whole life.
If you look closely in the background you'll she the Tippetts, cheering on their little girl. Thats one of the fun things about the hunt, getting to see friends. We got a dry day and it wasn't even that cold.
You may recognize the Elmo bucket from Halloween. I figured might as well get more use out of it. I felt better when I saw other kids with pumpkin buckets. Noah ran around his area like crazy cleaning up all the candy. He didn't find a golden egg and was dissapointed, but I wasn't, after 8 years we have enough stuffed bunnies! As you'll see in my next post this was merely a warm up to more easter egg hunts to come!

So, how come I didn't see you? I was totally there. Makenna got ONE piece of candy. Yeah, and that ONE piece was put in by some man. She wsn't really into it. Brayden and Audri made a haul...though neither of them managed to snag any actual eggs...they forgot all the strategy I tried to teach them!
We love that egg hunt, this was our 7th year. Next year Sydney will be too old too so if you find a different one for all aged kids let us know. It is always fun to see you guys there and hey, it didn't even rain this year:)
Sooo fun! :D I'd forgot about Meinig's hunt. I took Matt to West's egg hunt and after two meltdowns...went to Naas and ran into Tod & Heidi...! LOL.
Josh was NOT happy to be left home...and I think egg hunts are still beyond Matt.
Such cute pics Kelly! :D
Hi Kelly,
Just mom getting caught up on your blog. I sure appreciate reading it. Otherwise I couldn't keep track of all of the things you are in to. did you take any Easter pictures of the kids dressed up? I loved the details about the Easter hunt and Nate's adventures. I guess we learn to accept whatever turns you on. Just like Ron and his endless cop movies.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day because you are an amazing mother.
Love you,
