Potty Training Princesses

Parental advisory warning: some of the following photos contain nudity and may not be suitable for some viewers! Theres also alot of potty talk!Let me just preface this post by saying my two other children potty trained at 2 and a half. Even the boy who I thought was kinda slow due to a speech delay potty trained when he was 2and 1/2. The nice thing was once they did it they did it with very few accidents. That has not been the case with the twins.
The twins turned 3 almost 2 months ago and were still workin on it. We've been workin on it for a good 6 months! Aubrey is in the above picture and I think is finally there. But she had many accidents and I had to be the one to remind and take her to the bathroom.
For all of those out there that said or thought that twins should be easy because what one will do the other will follow, well your wrong. Potty training the both of them has been and continues to be a HUGE pain in the butt! (:
Sweet little Sydney initially took interest in the toliet but as soon as Aubrey gave it a try she was done. After many accidents and hours cleaning up puddles and washing wet clothes I gave up on her and focused on her sister.

Aubrey did good but continued to struggle with consistency, she would start then stop herself and still have accidents.
The good news is I haven't changed a #2 diaper in months they both got that down right away. Aubrey is now doing great and were trying again to put Sydney in panties. For awhile she refused to even wear panties, so the fact thats she's wearing them is a huge step. So far today she's 3 out of 5 in the toliet. We'll see how this goes but one things for sure I'm ready to be done!

Sitting here a fews years past basic potty training it seems a lifetime ago. One thing I have learned from you is that everything is harder with twins. I guess just like my three kids each child wants to be special and noticed for something different. Sometimes good different and sometimes bad, mean, teasing, screaming, hitting different.
Take solace though - I do have one almost 7 year old that was dry last night - hooray! Sadly this is the first time in months. On we go with purchasing "pull-ups" = there not diapers anymore of course.
Keep up the good work. This too shall pass... Love ya!

I feel for you sista! It's so hard and time consuming, just hang in there and stay consistant....it won't be much longer. They are doing great, considering there's two of them. Stay focused and positive:)

I completely agree with Carrie's sentiments! It sucks but it's a part of life they have to conquer so unfortunately so do we, again and again and again. Hang in there. Sammie still gets it maybe half the time and she knows what she's doing, she's just a little lazy!
