Defiance

The girls continue to switch up tempermence and moods just to keep me guessing. Currently it's Sydney's turn to be difficult about getting her diaper and clothes changed. Now when I say difficult I mean impossible. It can literally take me up to a half hour of kicking, scream, fighting and tears and thats just me.
Now before you say she wants to be potty trained. Let me remind you that she also refuses to sit on the potty. I try to reason with her, bribe her, and yes even sit on her to keep her still. Please don't report me. I dread diaper changes so she'll typicall sit in her wet one longer than necessary and if its dirty well thats a whole other nightmare, trying to clean a dirty bum that won't stay still. Sorry TMI.
Whenever we have to go anywhere and I have to get her dressed its a major episode. The other night she kept unzipping her PJ's then taking off her diaper. She's also been wearing the same old Thomas the Train Pajama Shirt of Noahs for days because she insists and when a 2 year insists its better for everyone if you just DO IT!
So Aubrey went through something similar but not close to this magnitude I'm REALLY hoping its a brief phase, because it's wearing me OUT!

Catching up...Wicked

Last week Kelsey and I had the opportunity to go see Wicked. I got the tickets as a Christmas present to myself. I was really glad I decided to take Kelsey, she thought and I quote, " it was sooo awesome" I'd seen it before and I knew I didn't wanna miss it. The story and the music are so amazing I loved it! You know its a good show when you get goose bumps!
As you can see we had pretty good seats and that made me happy because usually when I go to these things I'm up in the 2nd balcony. If you look close you can see the dragon on top of the stage it's eyes lit up and the wings moved very cool. It was a great night. My only regret is now thats its over I have nothing to look forward to!

Time Out for Women

Look who finaly made it to her computer to post about her fabulous weekend in Seattle! Here's the girls inbetween speakers look how happy we look!
The speakers we are so great, they each had something unique to offer. I felt like I learned somthing new and it encouraged me to try to be a better person. I even had a couple of the books and CD's from the presenters which made it extra special! This is Hillary Weeks she's glowing like an angel because she is one. Her voice is amazing I've been a fan for years and have all of her CD's. She just speaks to me. I have a CD for each one of my moods. Thanks Hillary, sing it girl!

Friday night after listening to ALOT of violin we went to Red Robin on the harbor we all thought it was very cool to see huge boats bobbing up and down while we ate! Can you see them out the window? I felt very happy after eating my mushroom burger with a huge milkshake I was uh not so happy before because it was 10:00 and I hadn't eaten since lunch. So sorry for grumpiness guys!

Here's Liz and Selena. Liz is the mom of two very active boys who continue to find new ways to suprise and exhust her. But she's amazing and takes it all in stride. Selena in the gray is my bed buddy (we've slept together twice now) she puts up with my weirdness and my twins aggressiveness towards her sweet daughter like only a true friend can. We talked all the way to and from Seattle and had success shopping at Ross after the conference.

Here's Beth and Carrie. They were super picture happy. I had the best time getting to know Beth (blond) better. In addition to being beautiful and hilarious she's also super smart about everything. Healthy eating, hair, makeup, flattering clothes, I felt cooler and smarter just hanging around her! Carrie in her trademark hoodie, my BFF, she did an awesome job driving in hazerdous weather, she helped me stay awake during the marathon violinest and watched me try on clothes. She's smart, funny, and a great friend. It was a great time. Nate was even great about me going and now I feel like I can make it through the week without going crazy! Which is always a plus!

A Vicious Cycle

Adorable right? Until you look closely and realize wher ethey're sleeping...in my bed. Aubrey's always joined us in our bed during the night and recently when Sydney got sick she decided it was a good idea. Its annoying for a couple reasons. See the area next to the nightstand thats the area I have to sleep on. Next notice the area on the left. When they come to bed they bring, pillows, blankies, ba-ba's and binkies so its a bit ridiculous.
I'm blaming this on the reason I've been in a constant state of tiredness for the last 3 years. They also haven't been naping real regularly so they sleep in late. I can't get myself to wake them because its so nice to get the kids ready for school without the distractions. So they sleep late, don't wanna take a nap, sleep late...you get the idea. I'm over the whole thing. Sister Watts once said to look at your kids while their asleep to remember why you love them. A wise statement indeed!

Found

After endless hours of worry and searching we found Dash at of all places his girlfriends house. The same place we previously discovered him. So now he is regulated to life on a chain until we can figure out how to contain him because if there anything he's taught us is you can't contain love. I did talk to the vet to see about neutering to help contain that love urge but it's like 200$ bucks, so for now Dash will stay intact.

Causing me stress

Our dog, Dash. Our relationship is complicated. I call it love-hate. I love him but I hate the way he jumps all over me, gets hair all over my laundry room, barks, smells, and drags me through the neighborhood when I go jogging with him. Like I said I love him.
Anyway he's been getting out a lot as of late. Once he came back on his own, once the neighbor brought him back. This last weekend while I was at the beach with the Young Women, he got out again and after a day and half of Nate looking for him which included signs and a trip to the pound, we got him back.
And it occured to us the reason for all this escaping....my dog is not a puppy anymore his has um certain needs. So in attempt to keep my dog from spreading his so called seed all over the neighborhood I was to "watch" him today. Which I did until I did a quick drive to the school this morning .
When I returned he was gone. I was gone less than 20 minutes. I drove all around looking for him with no success. I'm in big trouble with Nate. I'm hoping he'll show up again as he often does. One things for sure in about 9 months theres going to be a lot of puppies in the area that look strangely familiar!

Now that I'm feeling better...

I would be most ungrateful if I didn't stop and say thank you to those who helped me through my illness. First of all my bed, my wonderful big cozy bed. I tried to lay in you whenever I could. You let me cough, sweat, and cry in you and you went out of your way to make me comfortable, and your always there for me.
My medicine. Without my nasal spray which my doctor says I should not use because it's addictive I couldn't of slept or breathed. You cleared up my nose so I could rest comfortable and thats big. My ibuprofen you helped lower my fever and ease my body aches, I don't know how well you worked but thank you just in case.

Last but not least. This wonderful who knew I liked science fiction book that I read in a week, because it was so awesome. You can only watch so many episodes of the real housewives and toddlers and tiaras before you want to stab your eyes out so special mention to Selena for supplying the book. My cough, runny nose, and throbbing head, still persist but hey I'm a survivor!
