Seasons

I'm feeling deep and thoughtful today so bear with me it doesn't happen that often. So you know how we hear about the seasons in our life. Well I pretty much get that this is my season to raise kids and be a mom and I'm good with that. But I've recently discovered some new revelations about my season of life.
This is my season to learn to make my own happiness. I used to think it was others people job to make me happy but its not I make my own happiness and the sooner I figure out how to do that the happier I'll be.
I clean my moms house and have now started cleaning my mom-in-laws for some extra shoe money. So between that and the seemingly endless messes I'm trying to clean up at my own house, its my season to clean and clean and clean.
I've also realized this is my season to learn to hold my tongue, ever since I was a child I lacked a filter from my brain to my mouth. In my marriage and with my kids its often better to hold my tongue, smile, and say I love you (-: It's hard to do sometimes, but I've learned it's better!
Finally, this is my season to trust in the Lord and rely on him more than ever before. To help me deal with feeling overwhelmed about my endless cleaning and helping me find happiness through the gospel, raising my family and creating a happy home by biting my tongue more and building an eternal marriage.

Ok, sorry I know it was heavy, I promise to return to my regulary schedule posts about my everyday lighthearted, insignificant life happenings next week. In the meantime chew on this and have a great weekend, no matter what the season.

Great post, It's good to put life in the perspective of seasons, everything has it's season. You are doing a great job at being a mom and wife!

It's sure nice once in a while to step back and see what we have learned and how it is helping us and can continue to help us along the way. The biting tongue, cleaning and depending on the Lord I think aren't as seasonal as 2 year olds. Hopefully some seasons just force us to do them better, and as the seasons pass we get better and better. Right? Love ya Kel. Wen
